About:

Gabriela Radu is a Romanian painter currently living in Beznet, France.

She is painting mostly oil on canvas, but she varies the support of the painting or drawing from wood to glass, walls, mirrors, and furniture.

Since 1983 she also manifested her artistic visions and beliefs through Byzantine art, in mural, monumental paintings as well as in icons.

Her techniques vary too, from oil to canvas, oil on wood or glass, fresco, mural fresco, acrylic, tempera.
For the Icons she is using an ancient traditional Byzantine technique, with a pellicle of gold ("fogliod'oro") and natural pigments.

She was part of the team that painted the Church "ACOPERAMANTUL MAICII DOMNULUI" in Bucharest, Romania, in 2008.
Between 1983 – 1998 she partnered with Nicolae Radu in painting the following churches, spread all over Romania:

•The Voievozi-Popesti cathedral, Bihor County, Romania
•The Valea lui Mihai Church, Bihor county
•The Curtuiseni Church, Bihor county
•The Voievozi Simian Church, Bihor county
•The Basca Chiojdului Church, Buzau county
•The Popesti-Leordeni Church, Historical Monument, Bucharest
•The Schimbarea la fata Church, Historical Monument, Constanta
•The Techirghiol Church
•The Church from Floresti, Prahova county

Gabriela Radu is specialized as well in restoration work, for mural painting, oil on canvas and antique icons. She did restoration work for:

•The Church Vanatorii Mari- Giurgiu
•The Church Brebu, Jud. Prahova
•The Church Salciile, Jud. Prahova
•The Cathedral Turnu Magurele
•The Cathedral Hunedoara, historical monument
•The Church Saint Nicolae - Brosteni, Bucharest

Since 1997 she had several personal exhibitions in Romania, in Brasov, Campina, Bucharest mainly presenting the series Gardens.
She also participated in numerous group exhibitions, with still nature, self-portraits, and icons.

In France she had personal exhibitions in Perigueux and Montlucon.
